finally settled into my new home with my best friend, love of my life, soulmate, Christiaan. I start work tomorrow morning. enjoying this little weekend together before real life kicks in. i couldn’t be happier with my decision to up and move from boring old Buffalo, NY to here in the midwest. just thought i’d update and let everyone know things are going well. sorry not sorry about the cute couple-y pictures and posts that will soon be a regular thing on my blog.

Christiaan is flying into town and on wednesday we are driving back to illinois.

no more long distance.
I’m going home today for the last time.
in a little over two weeks, I will be moving to Illinois and closing the distance on my relationship. I have so much packing left to do.

my boyfriend clearly has too much time on his hands when I’m not there.
i really hate that i’ve been making some awesome shit, but i can’t post pictures of them because they are gifts for my boyfriend and he can’t see them until i visit him on valentines day. booo.

spent part of the night watching Anziz Ansari being hilarious, while Christiaan was supposed to be doing homework….
I never use this blog to “talk” much anymore. well, here we go.
I have a day off tomorrow. I’m kind of excited because I’m going to my army unit and doing paperwork to transfer to Illinois. so, that is exciting. I will also take time to make myself something, which I haven’t done in a while. I’m thinking a couple high-waist semicircle skirts. I have some matte black faux leather, some olive/gold chiffon, and cute cotton prints. we’ll see how many I can complete. :) I am also working on a special valentines day/birthday gift for Christiaan. I am loving it so much.
speaking of my love - we had received a couple donations! and we both want to thank those who did the donating. it means the world to us and brigs us one step closer to closing the distance. :)
if any of my lovely followers are feeling generous, my boyfriend and I both have “donation” buttons on our blogs. since losing my job, we need any help we can get for me to move to his state and close the distance. if you can even just pass the word along, any help will be greatly appreciated.
I’ll admit, I am weary about doing this because for the most part, I hate relying on others. That being said, Sarah and I are in a tight spot. As most of you know, Sarah and I have been doing long distance for a little over 8 months now and have been saving to move her to Illinois and close this gap for good. Unfortunately, shitty people exist… Sarah took a commission based job this past summer/fall for a company in Buffalo and worked her ass off sewing scarves for her boss. Her boss took it upon himself when she was finished with her assigned work to never call her back, or assign a new project. He then terminated her for “failure to show up for work” when he never scheduled her… even after calling him daily about what she was to work on next. Needless to say, he never paid her the $1300 he owes her either. We are currently trying to figure that situation out but that money was going to go solely to moving Sarah here and without it, the move may not be possible for a few more months.
We have placed a paypal donation button on our blogs and would sincerely appreciated any help. I understand that many people are also struggling to make ends meet, so if you cannot donate passing this along and reblogging would be just as well.
I cannot wait til one day we can pay the generosity forward and help out anyone else in the same position.
