well,
a couple weeks ago i emailed a woman who is in charge of Rochester Fashion Week after my sewing teacher had mentioned that our senior collections could possibly be in the show. she finally emailed me back confirming that.
so, i’ll be spending my free time making my current pieces more awesome, and making things that i didn’t have time for before from my own show. i’m a happy girl. :)
wow! it’s been a while since I’ve posted. well, here’s some of what I’ve been working on. 3 weeks til the show. it’s crunch time! :)
finally updated my sewing blog.
me and my friend Carolyn wearing my Native American inspired dress :)
i’m trying to look for some good fabric shops, but am limited to the internet as of now.
i already know of Mood and SpandexWorld.. and if anyone says Jo-Ann’s, i will gut you like a fish. i want GOOD fashion fabrics online. thanks:) any good suggestions?
*edit:
i’ve been using google, i just don’t know what is reliable and what isn’t. also, does anyone know of any good wholesale leather sites?
my final project for Designer Sketchbook. :)
I’m part of *the* first-ever class in Fashion Design and Merchandising to graduate from my school. our senior fashion show is next year and we need ideas to come up with a “name/title”. I’d love to see what kind of suggestions my lovely followers have to offer?
i’ve gotten the requirements for my class finals… and i have to say, i am beyond excited.
for my Knit, Stitch, Print class - the final theme is “around the world” - so i decided to do a “Native American” theme and incorporate hand-beading :)
for my Couture class - the final theme is “electric shadows” (which, in chinese? or something.. means “movies”) so i chose horror. can we say hello to the first ever couture zombie gown? heeeeeeeeello. ;)
